Best NYC style pizza I've had on West Coast. Excellent eats and friendly service.
Last night my sons and I called in a pizza for delivery at our favorite pizza place-Celestino's. We love the pizza's but only wanted a cheese with spinach and roasted red peppers, only to be told the bill would be $32.83. A 18" pizza only costs $17.95 When I asked why so much, I was told the toppings would be $4.00 a piece. Wow, $4.00 for spinach? Was I getting an entire bag on my pizza because I feel the mark-up was too much? I then cancelled the toppings. The pizza as always was good but will not pay for gouging at any price
Love this place and the food is wonderful!! (Had my husband's surprise 80th birthday party here and the staff went above and beyond to make it memorable.) So many things to choose from and made fresh after ordered. Or, you can order by the slice from several options. Go in with an appetite because it's plentiful and hot when you get it.
EDIT: I'm editing this review from 1 star to 4 stars for the manager, Penny. I called to talk to a manager and talked to her. She was very apologetic and very kind. She said that the situation would be handled. Thank you Penny, I really appreciate it!
I cannot believe the service. I have ordered pizza from them many times and they have completely lost my service after tonight. I placed a delivery order online 40 minutes before they closed and over an hour passed and no delivery. I called and the girl (rude) on the phone said that they cancelled the order because it was too late to place an order. No where on the website does it say that you cannot place a delivery order after a certain time. I would have gone to pick it up if they would have called me! The girl on the phone said that it is not her responsibility to take that extra step and call. Absolutely horrible! Customer service sucks. One 2 minute phone call is all it takes! Don't cancel my order without letting your customer know! I'll go somewhere else from now on.
Bought $28 in pasta, turned out to be just under a handful of chicken and these insanely thick noodles that I've never seen before so that the tray feels super heavy when you get it.. lol now I remember why I avoid this place.. not to mention how rude the girl working the counter was
